The Berufsförderungswerk (BFW) München in Kirchseeon
As a center for vocational rehabilitation, the BFW München facilitates the return to work for people who have recently acquired an injury or disability, for example after an accident, a physical or psychological impairment or stroke of fate.
As a non-profit organization, we offer a variety of needs-based measures to our participants, from vocational assessment and evaluation, upgrading of general skills, refresher courses, career counseling, employment search, and consulting with potential or existing employers about jobaccommodations and modification. Our main offer, however, focuses on vocational retraining. Participants are learning new professions here.
Depending on the individual case, the pension insurance, the employers‘ liability insurance association or the employment agency sponsor the vocational retraining financially.
Vocational training
In preparation for their future jobs, our participants will complete a shortened two-year training course, which also includes practical training at a chosen company.
Our diverse educational offerings include vocational training courses in the areas of business and administration, construction, electronics, mechanical engineering, information technology, protection and security as well as health care and social services. Prior to the individual vocational training courses, we offer special preparatory classes that deal with brushing up on basic language, math and communication skills as well as focusing on learning how to study efficiently and effectively.
The Hotel ”Bildungsblick” is part of the educational offerings. Future hotel specialists will receive their training courses at the BFW München. The practical training takes place at this in-house hotel where you are currently enjoying your stay.
The boarding home
During their two-year training, most participants live in the in-house boarding unit. There are in total 450 single rooms available. The cafeteria (canteen) with its own kitchen provides breakfast, lunch and dinner for the boarding home inhabitants. The recreational facilities include an indoor swimming pool, a sports center and a gym.
